Q. Can you each tell use a bit more about your latest releases?
A. Cynthia: In a heartbeat! Windswept is a book about a family with a lifetime love affair with their family sailboat. Their close knit family is torn apart when David is unfaithful and brings his mistress aboard the boat. He moves out and Caroline has to learn to survive alone, raising her daughter Lily. Caroline and David try to work things out but a very friendly neighbor makes a move on her and other events conspire against them as well. David and Caroline are thrown together in a horrific storm in Windswept so Mother Nature might make the final decision about their fate.

“Imapact” by Cassandra Carr (erotic, Ellora’s Cave, February 2011, $7.50, 114pp): Connor Raub is a professional bull rider and also a Dom. However, he only indulges his dominant tendencies at an exclusive BDSM club afraid that the conservative people and sponsors in the world of bull riding wouldn’t understand his personal lifestyle choices. Yet, he is intrigued by the new girl working with the tour, Jessica Talbot and has a hard time restraining his desires.
Jessica is of course a submissive, one who has lusted after Connor since seeing him engaged in a scene at his club. She is flattered when Connor expresses interest in her, but then disappointed when he balks at indulging in kink. He adamantly believes that they need to keep their relationship vanilla because of his career.

“Take Me at the Ballgame” by Cassandra Carr (contemporary, Ellora’s Cave, January 2012, $1.99, quickie): When Ellora’s Cave announced a new line of erotic novels for men, I was curious. What would the difference be? The only hint that I found was in the submission guidelines at Ellora’s Cave:
Stories written specifically for our male readers.
We are now accepting submissions (see submission instructions in the Author Information brochure).
~ 7,000 to 30,000 words
~ May contain relationships, but should focus more on the sex than the romance; Romantica is fine, Exotika is also encouraged
~ Realistic wording and dialogue for male characters (not the language women WISH men spoke); this extends to the male narrative
~ Written from male POV preferred
~ Should be aimed at male sexual fantasies (what men think of when they get off)
* Examples include, but are in no way limited to:
- Women taking the initiative during sex
- Female pursuit of the man
- Voyeurism of female/female sex (as well as F/M/F and F/F/M themes)
- Risky sexual situations or locations; a sense of the forbidden (e.g. the boss's mistress, the maid, the college professor, sex in public, etc.)

“Caught” by Cassandra Carr (erotic, Loose Id, December 2011, $4.99, 373kb): Looking for a sexy, holiday read with BDSM elements? Definitely consider Cassandra Carr’s “Caught,” a story of Jack, a dominant, reunited with Callie, his one-time submissive. When Callie returns to her home town for the holidays three years after leaving Jack and their relationship, the two run into each other and fall back into their previous roles. Their relationship heats up very quickly.
The crux of the conflict in “Caught,” like in so many romance novels, has to do with love. Callie left Jack because she had fallen in love with him and was sure that Jack did not return her feelings. This left things between the two unresolved, a situation that Callie definitely planned to deal with on her trip home.
