The Theory of Deviance
Release Date August 2, 2016
Painful shyness isn't the only reason Mikey Pelletier is a twenty-five-year-old virgin. Between working for his parents and volunteering at his church, he neither has the time nor the inclination to admit his bisexuality to the world—or to himself.
A visit from Krissy Porter will hopefully fix everything. After three months of chatting with her, Mikey's got one carefully planned week to win her heart and lose his V-card. He's hoping he can pull it off, even with her roommate along for the ride.
Krissy has been drawn to Mikey for a while. He's so easygoing, she thinks he could be the calm in her storm. But there's an extra complication when she comes to visit: her friend-with-benefits, "hetero-flexible" roommate, Rafe.
During a week of revelations, intimacy, and kink, Krissy and Rafe become the angel and devil on Mikey's shoulders, tempting him in different directions. And all three of them discover that a week of pure deviance can lead to the most uncontrollable emotion of all: love.
Warning: This book contains innocent board game-playing that takes a sexy turn, use of recreational substances, back-door action, and some smokin' hot threesomes. Plus, scenes of inner-demon slaying. Fans and tissues advised.

Shattered Heart, the third book in Dorothy F. Shaw's Donnellys series will be out on January 19, 2016. Check out the hot cover! This book features Cyn Donnelly, a take-no-prisoners heroine and her older brother's best friend Shane Conlon (who is a highly spurty fellow).
This book is super steamy, highly emotional with a very self-contained heroine who has a back-bone of steel (and well the eight spurts).
A crush is just a fantasy. The real thing packs some serious heat.

The kinkier the sex, the higher the price tag...
Ryan Black has admired Celestina Sala from afar for years, her lush body and sensual nature calling to the dominant in him. For just as many years, Celestina was off-limits—married, proud and self-sufficient. But all that has changed, and now Celestina is in debt and in need…and available. Ryan proposes a contract: he'll pay off her debt if she gives herself to him in bed, yielding control in exchange for the pain and pleasure he'll bring them both.
There are words for women who take money for sex, and none of them are nice ones. Celestina never thought she'd have to sink this low, but giving up control sounds more enticing than ever before. And suddenly it's not about having to give in to Ryan. It's about wanting to.
But when Ryan's dark past comes to light, they may both be in over their heads. The terms of his contract say her body is his…but her heart may be another story.
One thing is for sure—now that Ryan has Celestina, he can never let her go.
Available from Carina Press on July 13, 2015
Today, a reader asked for recommendations for books with dragon shifters. I’m not a big reader of dragon shifters, so I couldn’t offer much help. I did ask for help on twitter though and got several responses. So, if you are a fan of dragon shifters, here are some books you might want to check out.

It is well known on Twitter that I read some seriously WTF books – and live tweet them rather religiously. But sometimes, the 140 characters that twitter allows just aren’t enough to highlight the wonder that these books contain. So, I plan to highlight some of these WTF scenes with regular posts. These posts will definitely be NSFW as most WTFery I run across takes place in sex scenes.
So, we shall start this series with a book that rates high on my WTF scale, “Beats” by Kendall Grey an erotic romance about a woman who pines after a bandmate who is involved in a bizarre relationship with his best friend (who is male). The best friend provides our hero, whose name happens to be Toombs Badcock (seriously), with the pain that he needs to be sexually aroused. The BFF also dominates Toombs. Our heroine Jinx, however, is determined to steal Toombs away from Rax (the BFF). The result is a whole lot of sexual shenanigans as Rax blackmails Jinx into joining into his sex play with Toombs.
On May 7, Shayla Black releases “Ours to Love,” the latest installment in her Wicked Lovers series. Want to win a copy? Read on to find out more.
I was a bit sad when I finished my spurt research and published The Great Spurt Study: A Seminal Look at Lora Leigh’s Usage of Spurt. I wondered on Twitter what I should do next. While I didn’t expect an answer, I shouldn’t have been surprised that I got some suggestions. I’m not sure how serious I was either about starting something new. However, author Maya Banks (and yes, I’m placing blame for this whole thing on her shoulders) lobbied hard for a list of romance crack recommendations.
I chuckled a bit, but then I started thinking about the idea. The more I thought about it, the more I liked it. Who doesn’t love romance crack? I spend so much of my time on Twitter noting the books that everyone I follow reads, looking for the next best/wacky/over-the-top thing.
So, I am planning a quest to find the best romance crack. What does this entail? I’m still flushing out the details. However, the basic plan is to solicit crack nominations from romance readers (and yes, I already started this process on Twitter) and compile all the nominations into a list. I expect this phase to take at least a month (think November 2012). Next, depending on how many titles people nominate, I plan to categorize the titles by genre (contemporary, erotic, paranormal, etc).

From the moment that I read my first Lora Leigh book, I was hooked. She writes some incredibly dominant heroes who I often want to knock some sense into. However, I can’t resist them. I don’t even mind that some of her books may have timeline/continuity issues or grammatical errors. Her stories speak to me, and I relish the opportunity to read each new book. And to be honest, I relish the opportunity to re-read them as well.
Now, Lora Leigh has all sorts of signature devices in her books. Most of her heroes find they don’t truly connect to their women until they can express their love anally. There are often lots and lots of candy references a la “I’m going to eat you up like the sweetest candy” along with comparisons of nipples to fruit (nipples as tight berries, etc). Oh yeah, and most of her heroines are waxed smooth for their men. And again, I love these facets of Leigh’s writing that absolutely identify her words as her own. I actively look for them in each book and smile when I find them.
