“Tempted by Two” by Portia Da Costa (ebook, review copy)
Review to come

“Destined for the Dom” by Jane Bowles (ebook)
In this one, Dom Hunter wonders about the girl he had promised to return for but never did. He finds Zoe dancing in an erotic club having trouble making ends meet. He convinces her to return home with him and is determined to help her. There is an intense attraction, but Hunter is reluctant to get involved because of his sexual preferences. But when Zoe finds out, she is curious – and she pushed the issue. This one is highly erotic, and I enjoyed parts of it. However, I had a hard time liking Zoe.

“Power Play: Katie and the Dom” by Selena Kitt (ebook)
This is a short story with about 15,000 words. Katie answers an ad in craigslist for a Dom – and panics in the middle of her first scene. The man’s older brother Liam senses Katie’s panic and stops the scene, admonishing his brother for his lack of insight. Once Katie calms down, she realizes that she still wants to be a submissive – and wants to be Liam’s submissive. I really enjoyed Katie and Liam’s relationship – and loved Liam as a Dom. But craigslist? That was problematic for me.

“The Frozen Heart” by Christina Thacher (ebook)
I went back and forth on this one. I liked the damaged character of the heroine Jenna, and the way the Kai was helping her overcome some of her issues. But I did find that there were many scenes where Jenna and Kai were not together – and these dragged for me. This short story is about 33,000 words.

“Mine to Hold” by Shayla Black (review copy)

RNNREad2-3“The Theory of Attraction by Delphine Dryden (ebook, review copy) RECOMMENDED
Review to come closer to this one’s July 9, 2012 release date. But this is a superb erotic romance. I can’t recommend this one highly enough.

“Forbidden Ritual” by Saskia Walker (ebook)
When I saw that this book was about shibari, I was sold. Of course, the book is only about 25 pages, so shibari doesn’t get that much page time. I love the tone of this book though. It features a high-powered heroine who likes to submit to the younger hero. He want more than just her physical submission though and wants to use rope to gain her mental submission as well. This is a hot and steamy read.

“Breathe” by Allyson Young (ebook)
The heroine of this story is a librarian which means I had to read this one. I enjoyed this one, but really felt the story needed more development than there could be in 27,731 words. I don’t remember too much about this story other than the librarian thing – and a vague recollection that the hero, Jack, needed to actually talk to the heroine.

“Never Wager Against Love” by Maureen Driscoll (ebook, review copy)
See review

“Vulnerable” by Allyson Young (ebook)
After being in a highly abusive marriage, Elise lived a celibate life for 14 years. She meets Ross when she accompanies her friend to a BDSM club. Elise is gun shy but very drawn to Ross, the Dom. I liked the development of the relationship between Ross and Elise, although it is fraught with difficulties due to Elise’s past. The story heavily features Elise’s emotional turmoil, and I did start to get a bit tired of her mood swings. However, overall, this is a strong erotic romance.
