Review:
I read the description of “Collision,” the second book in Cassandra Carr’s Buckin’ Bull Riders series and did a bit of a double take. A heroine who is an Olympic gold medalist figure skater and a hero who is a bull rider? I had trouble picturing such a pairing, but was also quite curious. I’m glad I made the effort to read this one because the hero/heroine pairing is unique, fun and seriously sexy resulting in a wonderfully entertaining erotic romance.
While rehabbing an injured ankle, Leah agrees to do some cross promotion with bull rider Brady. But promotion isn’t really Leah’s thing. She has spent her whole life training to be the best figure skater in the world with very little time for fun or frivolity. She isn’t prepared for the easy going and laid back Brady who seems to have no problem dealing with the pictures, the interviews and the rest of the grind.
There is an immediate spark between Leah and Brady, and Brady starts to pursue rather Leah aggressively. When they do come together, their passion is explosive. But their time touring together is short, and Leah has commitments that she must meet. Will a bull rider and professional figure skater be able to find a way to be together?
This story surprised me quite a bit – in a very good way. Brady and Leah fit so well together – and the bull riding and figure staking careers meshed better than I could ever have anticipated.
“Collision” is a hot story of two very different people who learn that opposites do attract, especially in the bedroom. And there is something extremely sexy about bull riders as heroes. Who would have thought that they would make great heroes? If you’ve never read about a bull rider falling in love with a figure skater, I suggest you give this one a try.
