#RomBkLove Day 10 Hot Historicals

RomBkLoveDay11Small#RomBkLove Day 11 is all about hot and sexy historicals. Much like other day, you get to define what hot and sexy means to you. It doesn't matter if the book is not erotic but has some very sexy moments or even one. We want to know about all the historical romances that you think are hot!

Susan Johnson has so many hot historicals to chose from, Forbidden, Love Storm, Blaze and Sinful are just a few. Readers will find glass dildoes, sex on horses, inventive use of pearls and all sorts of sexy shenanigans.

RomBkLoveDay10SmallSo, today is the most frustrating cockblock or coitus interruptus in a romance novel. Have you ever read a romance where it seems like every time the main couple starts to have sex they get interrupted? Sadly, I don’t have any examples of this, so I am expanding this to stories with a long and slow burn before consummation.

White Hot by Ilona Andrews - Nevada isn’t sure what to make of Rogan when they first meet, especially since he kidnapped her. It takes much of the first book for Nevada to start to trust Rogan. She has no intention of jumping into bed with him.

RomBkLoveDay9SmallDay 9 of #RomBkLove is most unusual setting for sex in a romance novel. Have you read a sex scene that takes place in a strange place? Maybe there was an ill-timed sex scene in a romantic suspense novel? If a sex scene struck you as odd, I think it qualifies.

The wackiest location for me ever is the sex scene in Chloe Cox’s Tied to the Tycoon which takes place on a roof of a Manhattan building in the winter with the heroine hanging off the side of the building. I still ponder the logistics of this one.

And, of course, the sex on a horse in Johanna Lindsey’s Savage Thunder while the horse is galloping and the heroine is asleep. She wakes up during the act to find herself aroused and partially undressed. I’ve always felt rather badly for the poor horse (not that I didn’t read the scene over and over again).

I feel like I should have more to talk about for this prompt. I hope others do.

#RomBkLove Day 8 Virgins in Romance

RomBkLoveDay8SmallDay 8 of #RomBkLove The Sexy Edition is all about virgins. Favorite virgin heroes? Favorite virgin heroines? Favorites first-times in romance? Let us know your thoughts about anything virgin related.

I recently read Sparrow Beckett’s Feral King, a kinky romance about a very tortured man named Severin and Minnow, the woman hired to be his companion. Severin is a virgin, due to some horrible things that happened to him as a child (most of which we don’t yet know about as this book is part one of two). But the submissive Minnow calls to his dominant and sadistic nature (this book is excellent but a bit hardcore).

#RomBkLove Day 7 Favorite Dirty Talkers

RomBkLoveDay7SmallToday’s topic in #RomBkLove The Sexy Edition Day 6 is dirty talking characters in romance. Who are your favorites? Most of the ones I came up with are male characters, but there have to be some dirty talking women. I’m hoping that people know of some. Do you like dirty talking characters or do you wish they would just shut up? Also, please share some of your favorite dirty talking snippets if you can.

This prompt was not easy for me because I didn’t start keeping track of dirty talk until recenlty. But I do have some for you.

RomBkLoveDay6SmallDay 6 of #RomBkLove is all about multiples, menages or books where there are more than two main characters. Whether it is m/m/f, m/f/m, f/m/f, f/f/m, m/m/m, f/f/f, m/f/m/m/m/m/m/m/m/m or any other combination thereof, and honestly, gender doesn’t matter. If it is a romance about more than two people, it counts. What are your favorite menage romances? Do you remember your first? Do you have a favorite? Did you ever have to diagram a sex scene to figure out what went where?

Made you have to diagram it to figure out what was happening? Couldn’t tell that it was a sex scene? Basically anything that made you scratch your head while reading counts. Share your examples of WTF sex scenes and use the #RomBkLove hashtag so we can all follow along.
